The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is utilizing all possible resources to end polio from the province.

This was stated by Minister for Health Taimur Saleem Jhagra after inaugurating the five-day anti-polio drive in Peshawar on Friday.

He said we are in the last and important phase towards making the province polio free.

The Minister said reforms are being introduced in the health department to set it on modern lines.

The five-day anti-polio drive has been launched in thirty-three districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

During the campaign, more than six point two million children below the age of five will be administered polio vaccine.

The polio teams will administer the anti-polio vaccine to children in the door to door campaign.

Tight security measures have been taken for security of polio teams.
