Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has called for the early commencement of work on the Chashma Lift Canal project.

He expressed these views during a meeting with Federal Secretary for Climate Change and Water Resources Owais Manzoor Samra and Additional Secretary for Water Resources Mehr Ali Shah in Islamabad.

The Governor said the project is a longstanding demand of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and is vital for the province's agricultural and economic development.

The meeting also reviewed water-related issues facing the province and proposals for conservation and effective utilization of water resources.
