Analysts hail Pak robust diplomacy for Iran-US deal
June 17, 2026

Dr. Muhammad Khan (IR Expert):Iran-US deal is great achievement of Pakistan. It was very difficult task as it involved world’s super power the US. But Pakistan did not give up its diplomatic efforts and ultimately got it done successfully and amicably. Thus, Pakistan stands victorious in winning this remarkable deal between the US and Iran. I think that the US and EU have been doing diplomacy in Russia- Ukraine war but failed. On the other hand, Pakistan won this victory in a short time through diplomatic efforts.  Pakistan’s role has been unique in the world and it is great hour in the world. Pakistan started, managed and concluded this diplomatic process in a very brief time. This deal will definitely contribute to global economic growth by facilitating smooth flow of oil, gas and other trade through Strait of Hormuz. Pakistan has done great job in this deal so the whole world should be grateful to Pakistan, Pakistani civil and military leadership. There are chances that Israel may sabotage this deal but yesterday, the US President gave a strong shut-up call to Israel. However, support for Israel in the world, especially in the US is shrinking with the passage of each day due to Israeli brutalities on innocent people in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria and other countries.

Dr. Usman Chohan (Economist):Iran-US deal is a historic achievement of Pakistan and it has casted positive impacts on global economy. It will also ensure regional economic growth also because now sanctions on Iran will be removed.  The deal will also boost confidence of the international investors in Pakistan and other regional countries.  Pakistan will also be able to establish B2B with Iranian companies and it will boost our GDP. Pakistan will also be able to establish wider economic ties with Central Asian states.

Dr. Hassan Daud Butt (Economist):Straits of Hormuz is very important for Pakistan as we get 80% our imports from this passage. Hopefully after end of this crisis, Pakistan will focus on development of Gwadar Port. Pakistan plied diplomacy and mediation for the sake of global economic benefits. Naturally, it will also benefit Pakistan as it may cater Pakistan’s oil and gas requirements. Moreover, it will also encourage investors to invest in Pakistan. Hopefully, Pakistan will emerge as a global leader in result of mediatory diplomacy in Mideast conflict.
