In Greece, an earthquake of 5.4 magnitude rocked northern region near city of Thessalonika.

In a statement, National Observatory said the epicentre of the quake was 23 kilometres south west of Mount Athos at a depth of 10 kilometres.

There are no reports of casualties or material damage.
