A significant discussion on new provinces, administrative units and the future of governance was held at the University of Makran, Panjgur.

A large number of representatives from political, academic, journalistic and social circles, along with male and female students, attended the discussion.

Participants held a detailed discussion on administrative challenges in the country, particularly in Balochistan and difficulties in providing basic public services.

Participants agreed on the need to initiate a nationwide, public-awareness-based debate on the issue of new provinces and administrative units.

They stressed the need for serious debate on the potential benefits and constitutional aspects of new administrative arrangements.
