Minister of State for Law and Justice, Barrister Aqeel Malik says the leadership of PTI and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government have always supported anti-state elements like Tehreek-e-Taliban and other banned terrorist groups.
In a televised statement on Tuesday, he said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has unveiled that wrong decisions are being made in PTI ranks. He said Ali Amin Gandapur also pointed out different groups in PTI.
The Minister of State said that over ninety-thousand people sacrificed their lives in war against terrorism, but the PTI always gave priority to reconciliation policy rather than taking strict actions against terrorist groups like Tehreek-e-Taliban.
Barrister Aqeel Malik said there is governance issue in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as the province is being targeted by terrorists, and there is no writ of the state there.
He said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir attended the funerals of Bannu martyrs, but no PTI leader was there in the funeral prayer.
He mentioned that there was no participation, condemnation or condolence on behalf of the leadership of PTI including the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa regarding Bannu incident. He said this kind of attitude demonstrated by PTI must be condemned.
Barrister Aqeel Malik said the incumbent federal government has taken concrete steps against terrorists and raised voice before Afghan Government, but the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government is not supporting it which is against national interest.
