President Dr. Alvi has appreciated Turkey's consistent support to Pakistan on the issue of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

He was talking to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during a meeting in Istanbul.

The President apprised the Turkish counterpart about the deteriorating human rights situation in the occupied territory.

The two leaders held wide-ranging talks and discussed further strengthening of bilateral relations through implementation of the Strategic Economic Framework  that was signed in February last year.

President Erdogan said that he looks forward to hosting the meeting of the 7th High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council in Turkey this year.
