China says it is willing to develop friendly relations with the Taliban.

Talking to newsmen, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said China respects the right of the Afghan people to independently determine their own destiny, and is willing to continue to develop friendly and cooperative relations with Afghanistan.

On the other hand, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has called for national reconciliation in Afghanistan for lasting peace.

In a statement, he said Iran will support efforts to restore stability in Afghanistan as a first priority.

The Iranian President described the US rapid pull-out as a military failure that should turn to an opportunity for restoring life, security and stable peace.
