Pakistan and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization have agreed to further strengthen cooperation in culture, heritage conservation, tourism and people-to-people exchanges.

The understanding was reached during a meeting between Minister for National Heritage and Culture Aurangzeb Khan Khichi and SCO Secretary-General Nurlan Yermekbayev in Islamabad.

The minister reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to the objectives and principles of the SCO.
