The presence of terrorists in Afghanistan is not an internal issue but has become a threat to peace across the entire region.
European Union’s Special Representative for Afghanistan Gilles Bertrand has also expressed support for Pakistan’s right to self-defence against terrorism originating from Afghan soil.
In an interview with Amu TV, he said it is no secret that, in addition to Fitna al-Khawarij, several international terrorist groups are present on Afghan soil.
He said that Pakistan cannot remain silent in such circumstances when it is facing severe acts of terrorism.
Gilles Bertrand said concerns over the presence of terrorist groups in Afghanistan have already been expressed by Russia, China, the United States and the European Union.
