Mass marriage ceremony was held in Vehari today under Dhee Rani Program.

Ninety-three tied the knot in the ceremony.

The brides participating in the ceremony were provided with a complete dowry including a double bed, wardrobe, sofa set and utensils.

In addition, financial assistance cheques were also given to the brides.

The Christian community and the hearing and speech impaired couples were also included in the wedding.

Regular arrangements were made for the Walima and food for the guests in the mass marriages.

The speakers described the Dhee Rani program as a positive step for social welfare and solidarity.
