CPEC to witness paradigm shift with PM’s visit to Beijing: Info Minister

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi says Pakistan and China share a tremendous history of bilateral relations and nothing could ever weaken their strong bond.

Speaking in a PTV program, he said since establishment of our ties, several governments have changed but only constant factor remained the steadily growing bilateral relations.

Terming CPEC, the crown of China's One Belt One Road initiative, the Minister said CPEC has opened up new avenues of progress in Pakistan.

He said the country has witnessed inflow of investment worth billions of dollars during the last ten years of the project in terms of projects of basic infrastructure, energy, power and Gwadar port.

Murtaza Solangi expressed the hope that with caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar's visit to China, the whole CPEC activity will see a paradigm shift and all fields including agriculture, IT, industry and mining will see new facets of development.

Participating in the program, Foreign Secretary Syrus Sajjad Qazi said Pak-China friendship serves as an epitome of trust and sincerity.              

He said as geo political environment across the world continues to ruffle, the only graph witnessing a steady upward growth is that of relations between Pakistan and China.

The Foreign Secretary said Pak-China relationship is a factor of stability not just for the two countries but for the whole region.
