Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has reaffirmed Pakistan’s enduring commitment to advancing the purposes and principles of the UN Charter and to respecting international law and treaties.

He made these remarks during a telephonic conversation with Director General of the IAEA and candidate for UN Secretary-General Ambassador Rafael Grossi.

Ishaq Dar highlighted the crucial importance of the UN system in realizing the global peace and development agenda.

They discussed the evolving regional situation and agreed that implementation of the Islamabad MoU remained the best course of action to defuse tensions.
