The Hurriyat parties and leaders have urged the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir to observe India's Independence Day as Black Day today (Saturday).
According to Kashmir Media Service, the parties and leaders in their separate statements in Srinagar urged the people of Kashmir to observe India's Independence Day as Black Day as a mark of protest against India's forcible occupation of Kashmir.
APHC leaders said that on August 15, Kashmiris will record peaceful protest against Indian occupation and draw the international community’s attention to the human rights situation in the occupied territory and to their right to self-determination.
They urged the international community to play its role in securing this right for Kashmiris.
