Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry has announced to launch health insurance scheme for over 3,700 employees of the Karachi Port Trust.

The Minister unveiled the plan, while chairing a meeting in Islamabad on Friday.

Under the new plan, state-of-the-art hospitals will be empanelled through a competitive process to provide enhanced medical services to KPT employees.

Acting KPT Chairman, Rear Admiral Ateeq-ur-Rehman joined the meeting from Karachi on zoom.
