Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has directed the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to further strengthen coordination with provincial governments and Provincial Disaster Management Authorities during the monsoon rains.  

He issued these directives while talking to Chairman NDMA, Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik, who called on him in Islamabad today.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister was briefed about the preparations to meet any kind of emergency situation across the country during the monsoon season.

He was also briefed about progress in making the early warning system fully operational and coordination with the Ministry of Climate Change in this regard.
