The European Union has announced to release hundreds of millions of euros in aid to the Palestinians.

Talking to media in Ramallah, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said the decision was made to resolve financial issues of Palestine.

Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh thanked Europe for resuming the funding, which he said came "without conditions".
