Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that the government is taking effective measures to promote trade, investment and industrial activities across the country.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of an industrial unit in Islamabad on Friday, he reaffirmed the government's commitment to continue working with the private sector to provide maximum relief to the public, create employment opportunities and improve economic conditions in the country.

He said the concerns of traders and investors are also being seriously discussed in various parliamentary committees and practical measures are being undertaken for their resolution.
