Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan has directed the authorities concerned to expand the motorway network.

Chairing a meeting in Islamabad today, he said the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway will be widened from four to six lanes. He said the Sialkot-Kharian and Kharian-Rawalpindi segments will also be constructed as six-lane facilities.

The Minister also instructed that the final phases of ongoing works, particularly the bridges on the Peshawar Northern Bypass, must be concluded before the monsoon season.
