
Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir has met US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, German leaders, and a number of dignitaries from other countries on the sidelines of the sixty-second Munich Security Conference.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, during his meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, views were exchanged on regional security dynamics and counterterrorism cooperation.
Besides, the Chief of Defence Forces called on Federal Minister of the Interior of Germany Alexander Dobrindt, Foreign Policy and Security Policy Advisor to Chancellor of Germany Günter Sautter, and Chief of Defence, Federal Armed Forces General Carsten Breuer.
The meetings focused on contemporary security issues, bilateral defence cooperation and the need for promoting global peace and security through bilateral and multilateral dialogue.
Field Marshal also held a productive engagement with Chief of the Joint Staff, Brazilian Armed Forces Admiral Renato Rodrigues de Aguiar Freire and discussed bilateral military cooperation.
Lebanese Comd Armed Forces Gen Rodolph Haykal also called on the Field Marshal. during the interaction, global and regional security situation and measures to enhance bilateral defence collaboration were discussed.
