Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian says his country will continue its strong support of Syria.

Talking to President Bashar al-Assad in Damascus, he said Iran welcomes positive changes in Syria's political relations with other countries.

The Syrian president stressed the importance of continued coordination between Tehran and Damascus over key bilateral and regional issues.
