
Chief Executive Officer of Pakistan International Airlines Arshad Malik has said a strategic business plan will be presented in March for the complete revival of the national flag carrier as per the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
He was addressing a news conference in Islamabad with Minister for Privatisation Muhammad Mian Soomro and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Iftikhar Durrani, today (Tuesday).
He said the PIA is a national asset but regretably the organization suffered losses due to flawed policies in the past.
Arshad Malik said Pakistan International Airline has the best professionals and pilots and as a result of their cooperation, we in a short span of time have been able to improve service delivery.
He said under the short term plan, it is our effort to carry out the Hajj operation in the best possible manner.
He was confident that the airline will see improvement with each passing day.
The Chief Executive Officer said we also evolved a strategy to stop bleeding and cut costs of the airline. He said we have suspended loss making routes. He said we have introduced some profit making routes and soon more will also be introduced.
Arshad Malik said we have removed two hundred ghost employees and action has also been taken against the fake degree holders as per the directions of the Supreme Court.
