
Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan says Pakistan is keen to transform its friendship with Vietnam into a strong economic partnership.
Addressing Pakistan-Vietnam Business Forum in Islamabad today, he said both countries enjoy longstanding relations based on mutual respect and cooperation.
The Minister said Pakistan and Vietnam have great potential to expand bilateral trade in sectors including textiles, leather, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, fisheries, information technology, renewable energy and e-commerce.
He said both sides have agreed in principle to move toward a Preferential Trade Agreement, which will further boost economic cooperation.
He expressed confidence that the business forum will open a new chapter in Pakistan-Vietnam economic relations based on mutual trust, shared prosperity, and lasting partnership.
