Pakistan's strategic and diplomatic importance is becoming increasingly prominent for global powers amid the changing international landscape.
Particularly after the Islamabad Talks, Pakistan has emerged as an important player in regional and global diplomacy.
Pakistan's strategic relations with the United States and the Western world have gained a new dimension, while anti-Pakistan narratives propagated by India and Israel have become ineffective at the international level due to Pakistan's growing diplomatic significance.
Speaking on the American news channel CNN, analyst Fareed Zakaria described Pakistan as a strategic bridge between South Asia, Central Asia, the Middle East, and the Muslim world.
He said Pakistan's importance is continuously increasing in the context of growing competition among global powers, energy corridors, the situation in Afghanistan, Iran, and the race for critical minerals.
Fareed Zakaria said the United States no longer views Pakistan through the limited lens of the past, but recognizes its geographical and diplomatic significance in the changing global environment.
He further said the United States needs stable and reliable partners in sensitive and difficult regions, and Pakistan is among those important countries.
He emphasized that Pakistan-US relations are not based merely on temporary political narratives, but on deep strategic interests.
According to experts, China's growing influence, uncertainty in Afghanistan, and changing politics in the Middle East have further enhanced Pakistan's importance.
They said Pakistan's geographical location, mineral resources, and regional connectivity potential make it indispensable for global powers.
Experts also observed that temporary propaganda and media narratives cannot affect the long-term strategic interests of Pakistan and the United States.
They said a broader approach focusing on economy, trade, minerals, and regional stability, beyond security cooperation, is gaining strength in Washington regarding Pakistan.
The analysts further said Pakistan continues to assert its importance in global politics through diplomacy, stability, and geo-strategic connectivity in the region.
