Azerbaijan’s Justice Minister, CJP discuss judicial, legal cooperation

Minister of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Farid Ahmadov, accompanied by a high-level delegation, is on a two-day official visit to Pakistan.

This visit is being seen as a demonstration of the strong fraternal relations, mutual trust, and the promotion of bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.

The Azerbaijani Minister of Justice and his delegation have toured key national, historical, and cultural sites in Pakistan.

The distinguished guests visited Lok Virsa in Islamabad, where they were introduced to various aspects of Pakistan's culture, traditions, regional heritage, and handicrafts.

Subsequently, the delegation visited the Pakistan Monument and paid tribute to national heroes and martyrs by laying a floral wreath at the Yadgar-e-Pakistan.

Azerbaijan's Minister of Justice, Farid Ahmadov, along with Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar and Minister of State for Law and Justice Barrister Aqeel Malik, also visited the Supreme Court of Pakistan, where they met Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Yahya Afridi.

During the meeting, they discussed judicial and legal cooperation, institutional links, and matters of mutual interest between the two countries.

The delegation later visited the Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan, where they met the Chief Justice of the Federal Constitutional Court.

On this occasion, discussions were held on various aspects of judicial systems, legal reforms, and institutional cooperation between both countries.

The Azerbaijani delegation also visited the National Assembly of Pakistan and observed the proceedings of the National Assembly session. Upon arrival, the distinguished guests were warmly welcomed.

Later, Minister for Law Azam Nazeer Tarar took the delegation on a tour of the National Assembly Museum, where they received a detailed briefing on Pakistan's constitutional, parliamentary, and democratic history.
