Canada has reduced dozens of its Indian staffers posted in its missions in India. 

A Canadian High Commission spokesperson said the slashing of the size of the Indian staff was necessary given the reduction of Canadian staff in the country.

The move has been seen in the backdrop of tension between the two countries after killing of Sikh leader Hardeep Singh Najar in Canada last year.
