Six people were killed and 24 others abducted in north Kivu province of Democratic Republic of Congo.

According to local officials, twenty-four people including a reporter of a community radio station were abducted in the course of the overnight attack.

The authorities have blamed Allied Democratic Forces militia for the attack.
