The news circulating on some domestic and foreign social media accounts of PTI regarding a severe clash between police and protesters in Bara area of Khyber district is completely baseless and fake.

According to a social media post on X by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government's Fact Check, the fake news claimed that several police personnel were injured and some were abducted by protesters as a result of the clash.

The Fact Check clarified that a few Afghan and local miscreant elements, in collusion with certain PTI politicians, attempted to disrupt the law and order situation, but the police took timely action to bring the situation under control.

It said that the situation was completely peaceful, with no protesters on the roads.

The Fact Check also termed the reports about injury and abduction of police personnel as baseless and urged the public to refrain from believing or spreading fake news.
