Advisor to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah Khan has said Parliament is the forum where the issue of the establishment of new administrative units can be debated.

Talking to newsmen in Lahore, he said the decision regarding a referendum on new provinces would be taken by a joint sitting of the Parliament, not by the government.

To a question, Rana Sanaullah Khan said peaceful political protest is the right of everyone. However, he said, no one would be allowed to indulge in vandalism or violent protests.
