Balochistan Governor Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has called for a more inclusive, ethical and human-centred approach to artificial intelligence (AI).
Addressing the Youth and AI Summit held at the United Nations headquarters, he emphasized that young people must have a meaningful role in shaping the future of AI and its global governance.
He said Pakistan’s National AI Policy provides a roadmap for developing a knowledge-based economy, including the ambitious target of training one million AI professionals by 2030, while expanding AI education, research, innovation and collaboration among government, academia and industry.
The Governor reaffirmed Pakistan’s readiness to work with the United Nations, Member States, academia, industry and young people to ensure that artificial intelligence becomes a force for greater opportunity, inclusion, sustainable development and human progress for all.
