A Chinese company, Challenge Apparel, has expressed interest in establishing an industrial unit in Quaid-e-Azam Business Park near Sheikhupura.

The company expressed interest at a meeting chaired by Punjab Minister for Industries and Commerce Chaudhry Shafay Hussain in Lahore today.

The Chinese group was briefed on investment opportunities and available infrastructure in the Special Economic Zone.

Chaudhry Shafay Hussain said both local and foreign investors enjoy special incentives in Special Economic Zones, including a 10-year income tax exemption and one-time duty-free import of machinery.
