APHC criticizes biased verdict on IIOJ&K special status
December 12, 2023

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference leadership has called the Indian Supreme Court’s verdict on revocation of special status of Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir biased and one-sided.

In their statements in Srinagar, they said the Indian judiciary has always acted as a tool to validate India’s occupation over Jammu and Kashmir.

They cited the death sentence to Muhammad Afzal Guru and building of Ram Temple at the site of demolished Babri Masjid as some examples to prove that the Indian judiciary has always been validating the illegal, illegitimate and communal acts of the Indian governments.

They said that India’s top judiciary, media, human rights commissions and parliament all have been hand in glove in snatching rights of people of Jammu and Kashmir.

In a statement in Srinagar, while reacting to Indian Supreme Court’s verdict, Senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has termed it sad, but not unexpected.

The Peoples Democratic Party led by Mehbooba Mufti has announced to suspend all its political activities for a week in protest against the unjust verdict and in solidarity with the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
