November 12, 2021

The World Health Organization has expressed apprehension that nearly one million children are at risk of dying from acute malnutrition in Afghanistan by the end of this year.

In a statement, WHO spokesperson Dr Margaret Harris has warned that around 3.2 million children are expected to suffer acute malnutrition due to poor health conditions in the country.

She said that the world must not and cannot afford to turn its back on Afghanistan.
