Balloting held for Jalozai Housing Scheme under NAPHDA

Balloting of applications for Jalozai Housing Scheme was held at Naya Pakistan Housing and Development Authority (NAPHDA) Office in Islamabad.

The balloting ceremony was attended, among others, by Chairman NAPHDA Lieutenant General (retired) Anwar Ali Hyder and Deputy Chairman NAPHDA Major General (retired) Amer Aslam Khan.

Prime Minister Imran Khan had earlier inaugurated 1320 low cost housing units at Jalozai Housing Scheme, Nowshera.

The project, launched by Housing Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in collaboration with Naya Pakistan Housing and Development Authority is spread over an area of 150 kanal.

Out of 1320, half of the apartments will be offered to NAPHDA applicants.

The State Bank of Pakistan has declared 1252 NAPHDA applicants bankable.

Intimation letters will be sent by NAPHDA to 484 successful applicants of the balloting for signing their loan agreements with the respective banks.   

The government will provide a cost subsidy of three hundred thousand rupees per unit.

The remaining payment will be made by the individuals over a period of 10 to 20 years.

The initiative is a step forward, towards implementation of the vision of the Prime Minister Imran Khan for the provision of low cost houses to the eligible population at affordable terms.
