Minister of State for Interior, Talal Chaudhry has expressed confidence that security situation will get back to normal in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after imposition of emergency in the province.

In an interview, he said that federal government’s primary objective was to eliminate terrorism and restore normalcy, insisting that the move has no political agenda.

Talal Chaudhry said that the government would make every possible effort to normalize the situation as quickly as possible, stressing that it had not assumed responsibility to establish a political foothold in the province.

He alleged that the provincial government had failed to fulfil its responsibilities and had used the security situation for political purposes.
