North Korea fired a suspected intercontinental ballistic missile off its east coast today.

Japan's chief cabinet secretary Hirokazu Matsuno said the suspected ICBM flew for 74 minutes to an altitude of 6,000 km and range of 1,000 km.

Meanwhile, leaders of South Korea and Japan are set to meet on the sidelines of a NATO summit in Lithuania to discuss threats, including the nuclear-armed North.
