Relief-oriented budget to ease burden on salaried class: PM

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed his deepest gratitude to Almighty Allah and the nation for their prayers, which resulted in achieving economic stability and providing relief to the people in the budget.

In his message, he expressed his appreciation to every citizen of Pakistan who demonstrated patience and humbleness in the most difficult circumstances, faced difficulties and played an overwhelming role for the economic stability of their country.

The Prime Minister said he had promised the people that once economic stability is achieved, its fruits would be directly passed on to the common man and now the time of prosperity has started.

Shehbaz Sharif said the improvement and providing relief, which he had promised, following the difficult time and the relief that nation truly deserves, has now formally started. He said it is a relief-oriented and public welfare budget.

He further said it is a budget which will reduce the burden on the salaried class, increase exports, promote industries, agricultural development and also enhance investment and economic development.

He said the prime objective of the budget is to ensure that the fruits of the strong economy pass on to the people directly and that every section of the society is involved in development process.

The Prime Minister also expressed gratitude to Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, the entire economic team, the Chief Ministers of the four provinces and all the relevant institutions, whose untiring work, professionalism and passion made this relief possible.

He said the government has taken concrete and effective steps to provide people with their own roof under the Prime Minister's Apna Ghar program, relief in tax, create employment opportunities for the youth, reduce the burden on the middle class, and promote business activities.

The Prime Minister expressed the resolve that the journey of development will continue with fast pace as the government would take all possible steps for the welfare of the people.
