Lahore Qalandars organizing cricket trials in 25 cities across Pakistan: Atif

Lahore Qalandars is organizing cricket trials for boys and girls in 25 cities across Pakistan as part of the Player Development Programme to discover new talent.

This was stated by Lahore Qalandars CEO Atif Rana, in an exclusive interview with Radio Pakistan on Thursday evening.

He shared that 25 teams will be formed under the Player Development Programme.

He further emphasized that all necessary resources will be provided, in collaboration with the Prime Minister's Youth Programme, to create a structured pathway for emerging talent.

Responding to a question, Atif Rana said aspiring young cricketers can register through the Prime Minister's Youth Programme, Lahore Qalandars' social media platforms, or by attending trials at designated locations and dates announced in the media. 

The CEO of Lahore Qalandars said the first decade of PSL was dedicated to Player Development Program while the next decade is being dedicated to 'Friends of Qalandars' under which an app will be introduced for youngsters to showcase their talent.

H said this platform will be open for youngsters having talents other than sports like singing, acting, painting, content generation. He said the best talents will be placed in international universities under scholarships.

Speaking on the occasion, Director General Radio Pakistan, Saeed Ahmed Sheikh, offered Radio Pakistan’s full support for the Lahore Qalandars' Player Development Programme initiative, aimed at talent hunting across the country.

He said Radio Pakistan has always been at the forefront of promoting the country’s soft image at international level.
