Pakistan, Kuwait agreed to explore new avenues of partnership

Pakistan and Kuwait have agreed to explore new avenues of partnership.

The agreement was reached during a meeting between Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik and Kuwait's Ambassador to Pakistan Nassar Abdul-Rahman Almutairi in Islamabad.

Ali Pervaiz Malik thanked Government of Kuwait for timely facilitation of ship 'Khairpur', which arrived in Pakistan from Kuwait carrying forty-five thousand tons of diesel and ten thousand tons of jet fuel.

The delivery of fuel was made possible through special facilitation following the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

They also discussed joint projects in refining sector besides possibility of establishing strategic storage facilities in Pakistan by Kuwait.
