China will continue to play a constructive role in resolving the Middle East issue.

During a press briefing in Beijing today regarding telephonic conversation between Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning said that the China calls on all parties to the ongoing Gaza conflict to immediately ceasefire.

She said that China strongly condemned the attack on the Iranian embassy in Syria and stressed that the security of diplomatic institutions is inviolable.
