People from all walks of life across the country are openly expressing their views on the creation of smaller provinces and administrative units.

The people in Southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have also raised their voices in support of creating a new province comprising Dera Ismail Khan and adjoining areas.

Speaking on the issue, people of Dera Ismail Khan said due to the lack of adequate healthcare and educational facilities in the area, people have to travel to Multan, Peshawar and Islamabad. They said if Dera Ismail Khan becomes a separate province, funds will be allocated to the area, hospitals will improve and security-related issues will also be addressed.
