In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, local government elections will be held on 28th of next month.

This was announced by Chief Election Commissioner AJK Justice (R) Abdur Rashid Sulehriya in Muazaffarabad on Thursday. He said the local government elections will be held in all ten districts of the state simultaneously on party basis.

Nomination papers will be received from 15th to 22nd of this month while scrutiny will be held on 23rd of this month.

Election symbols will be allotted on 30th of this month.
