US Air Force has targeted an Indian oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman attempting to transport oil from Iran in violation of US sanctions.

According to reports, US aircraft struck the ship's engine room after the crew failed to comply with repeated instructions issued by US forces.

Meanwhile, the Indian government said that three Indian sailors were missing, while 21 crew members  rescued.
