In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, thirty-fifth anniversary of the brutal Chotta Bazaar massacre in Srinagar was observed on Thursday.

It was on this day in 1991 that Indian paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force personnel indiscriminately fired at Chotta Bazaar, Srinagar, killing thirty-two innocent civilians, including a woman and a child.

While the brutality of Indian forces continues to haunt Kashmiris, the families of the victims still await justice even after thirty-five years.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has paid rich tribute to the martyrs of Chotta Bazaar.

In a statement, it reiterated that the sacrifices of the martyrs would not go in vain and that Jammu and Kashmir would ultimately be freed from Indian occupation.

Meanwhile, in Poonch, people staged protests after the body of a 12-year-old girl, missing since 30th of last month, was recovered from a river.

In a related development, a BJP leader was found involved in the sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl in Baramulla district.
