The Babusar-Naran highway has been opened for traffic after eight months closure.  

The highway remains closed for traffic from November to June every year due to heavy snowfall. 

The National Highway Authority has shipped heavy machinery from Chilas to Babusar and cleared the ice on the highway from Top to Kaghan.

Our Gilgit correspondent Sher Muhammad reports that many   tourists prefer to travel on this highway to enjoy lush green valleys, lakes, landscapes and snow-capped mountains.
