Analysts hail induction of J-10 C fighter jet into PAF to boost Pakistan's air defence
March 11, 2022

Air Vice Marshal (Retd.) Ikramullah Bhatti (Defense Analyst): The induction of modern J10 C fighter jets is a tremendous addition to our defense system. After the humiliation of Indian Air Force by the hands of Pakistan Air Force, Indian Prime Minister publically declared that if Indian Air Force had Rafale jets then the situation would have been different. It is the endorsement that Indian Air Force cannot compete with Pakistan Air Force in any manner. After Rafale became part of IAF, it was need of the time that Pakistan strengthens its defense capabilities as well. India always tried to destabilize the balance of power in the region but the inclusion of J10 C fighter jets in our air force will improve our defense capabilities.

Air Vice Marshal (Retd.) Ijaz Mahmood (Defense Analyst): The induction of modern J10 C fighter jets in our defense system is a good development keeping in view the prevailing regional threats. Pakistan's locally manufactured JF17 Thunder is already an advanced, light-weight, all weather, day & night multi-role fighter aircraft, it was the need of the time to induct more modern technology in our defense system. The J10C will significantly enhance the combat capabilities of PAF. The J10C is larger and can be equipped with bigger equipment. It can also carry more advanced, fourth-generation air-to-air missiles. One of our neighboring countries i.e. India has aggressive designs against our country and is increasing its defense budget every year in order to initiate an arms race in the region. An Indian supersonic missile entered Pakistan's air space which was fully tracked. It means our air force is fully capable to respond to any aggression against our territorial integrity within no time.

Syed Fakhar Imam (Federal Minister): The treasury benches of the government have their own responsibilities and the opposition parties have their own duties. It is the beauty of a democratic state that the constitution has given right to the opposition to criticize the government and launch their protest. Now the opposition parties have submitted a no-confidence motion against the government. The opposition parties are claiming that they have the required numbers to make the no-confidence move successful. Whereas, the current position is that we have the support of 179 members, including the support of our allies, whereas the opposition has 162 votes. The role of the speaker of national assembly is to conduct the business of the house and has the right to disqualify members who cross floor in the lower house.
