
Chairman Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) Chaudhry Tariq Subhani has termed Green Property Certificate a game-changing initiative to ensure the security, protection and transparency of land ownership.
In an exclusive interview with Radio Pakistan's correspondent Qasim Bukhari, he said the initiative, in line with vision of the Punjab CM, will also help ensure a developed and prosperous Punjab.
He said Green Property Certificate has been implemented for all types of properties in both the public and private sectors. He added the initiative has now been extended to eight more districts, including Lahore, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Narowal, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat and Wazirabad.
The Chairman PLRA said the objective of introducing the Green Property Certificate is to safeguard property boundaries and ownership rights of the public, while eliminating the risk of fraud and forgery in property transactions. He clarified that the Green Property Certificate would be officially verified by the Punjab Government.
He further said applications for obtaining the Green Property Certificate can be submitted at the nearest Arazi Records Center, relevant authorities, or concerned housing societies.
