
A total of seventy-nine terrorists have been killed in Balochistan since 5th of this month during the ongoing Operation Shaban and other intelligence-based operations.
According to security sources, the operation was launched in the wake of the terrorist attack on the Mangi Dam Police Station and is being carried out jointly by the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps and Balochistan Police.
During the ongoing Operation Shaban, forty-three terrorists have so far been killed.
The security sources further said the operation is continuing in the rugged mountainous areas, where the security forces have further tightened the cordon around the terrorists. They said multiple ground and aerial operations are underway against the militants.
Meanwhile, security sources said a terrorist attack on a police station in the Zeedi area of Khuzdar earlier today was successfully repulsed. They said eight terrorists were confirmed to have been killed in a swift response by Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps troops.
According to security sources, reports also indicate that another five to six terrorists were killed during helicopter operations in the area.
