President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have renewed their commitment to honesty, good governance and making the ongoing efforts to eradicate corruption.

In their separate statements on International Anti-Corruption Day being observed on Tuesday, they said this Day reminds us that the fight against corruption is a shared responsibility of governments, civil society, the media and citizens.

President Asif Ali Zardari called upon all public servants, professionals and citizens to reaffirm their collective resolve to uphold integrity for strengthening Pakistan's institutions and supporting the path towards stability and growth.

The Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif said taking concrete steps against financial corruption is among the top most priorities of the government and the National Accountability Bureau and all relevant institutions are taking vigorous and diligent action to ensure accountability at all levels.
