Pakistan, US agree to carry forward strategic health dialogue

Pakistan and the United States have agreed to carry forward strategic health dialogue addressing jointly identified priority areas.

The agreement has reached during a meeting between a delegation from the US Centers for Disease Control Atlanta led by representative of Global Immunization Division Dr Richard Franka and Minister for Health Dr Nadeem Jan in Islamabad.

During the meeting, they discussed mutual areas of interest for cooperation in health sector.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Nadeem Jan said the national leadership was committed to use all its strengths and resources to contain all vaccine preventable diseases.

Representative of Global Immunization Division Dr Richard Franka appreciated the government's commitment and the unprecedented support being extended to valiant frontline health workers by Pakistan's law enforcement agencies.
